What do we do at camp?

• Singing and dancing routines:

The majority of your student's time at camp will be learning group singing and dancing routines with their class. Genres include rock, pop, and musical theater/Disney, but may involve other styles as well. The choreography of the routines are classical dance based, using techniques from jazz, ballet, modern, hip-hop, or ballroom.

• Other skills learned:

Singing: Aural skills/ear training, how to harmonize with other singers, vocal technique, warm ups, how to utilize different vocal registers, microphone technique, and more.

Dance: Basic to intermediate dance technique, warm ups, blocking/stage movement

Performing: Stage presence and charisma, performing technique, confidence, and conviction.

• Recess/Lunch:

We will be taking breaks a couple times a day to relax, have social time with other students, and eat lunch.

• Final showcase:

At the end of the week, we will have a showcase in the Draper 2 gym where students will have the opportunity to perform their routines for their families and friends!
